well, in a sense, He did, just because they are one and the same. But then again...God turned His back on Jesus at one point(when he took on all the sin) sooooooo that is a tough question! i would say no...
ok, i changed my mind. No, God did not die on the cross, but His son, Jesus did. thank you captain obvious, BUT! in the case for christ (chapter 7) we learned that Jesus was the same as God, but totally separate at the same time, since Jesus refered to himself as The son and God as his father. He had the intimate relationship, but they weren't the same. i hope that makes sense....
